When the elderly gather together, the patience and wisdom that comes with age is personified. They spend time to pray together, visit and extend support to the sick and needy.
"Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness." - Proverbs 16:31 (NIV)
This verse reminds us that growing older and gaining wisdom and experience is something to be celebrated and respected. It encourages us to honor and value our seniors, recognizing the unique contributions they can make to the community and the church.
Senior Citizen ministry is an essential part of our community. We recognize that seniors have a wealth of experience and wisdom to share, and we are committed to providing opportunities for them to continue to grow in their faith and contribute to the community in meaningful ways.
Our Senior Citizen ministry is designed to provide spiritual edification and fellowship for those in the post-retirement age group. We believe that this is a time when seniors can continue to deepen their relationship with God and find purpose in serving others.
Some of the activities and programs we offer for our Senior Citizen ministry include:
Bible studies and devotional times
Social events and outings
Service opportunities to use their experience and talents to benefit others
Prayer and pastoral care
We also encourage seniors to become part of our community and find ways to get involved in the broader life of our church. There are many ways that seniors can contribute their time, talents, and wisdom to the church, and we value their presence and participation.
At Bethel AG Church, we believe that seniors are an important part of our community, and we are committed to providing meaningful and relevant teaching and opportunities for them to continue to grow in their faith and serve others. If you or someone you know is a senior citizen looking for a supportive and welcoming community, we invite you to join us and become part of our Senior Citizen ministry.
