Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please him.”
Yes, without faith we cannot please God.
The rest of this scripture reads, “For he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
Firstly, faith believes that God exists. He is the great ‘I AM’. Reigning in absolute sovereignty. None of His words will fail or fall short.
Secondly, faith believes that God is the rewarder of those who seek Him. He is our shield, and our exceedingly great reward.
It pleases God when our hearts and minds display God’s being and His beauty; when our lives reflect God’s existence and His excellence; when we know, how real and rewarding He is!
This is what pleases God, and this is faith.
