Revelation 3:21
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
Our stay on earth is temporary. The things that are seen are transient.
Indeed, our days are appointed for how long we will live on this earth. During this earthly life we inhabit a physical frame for the time being and one day, that mortal flesh shall fail. However, that is not the end for us. We have a beautiful, reassuring promise – If the temporary structure is dismantled or destroyed, we still have an eternal hope: a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
As we journey through life, let’s remind ourselves that our destination is eternity, our citizenship is in Heaven and that God is constructing a finer dwelling place for our stay. So, let’s press onward knowing that ‘our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.’
And, till He returns or calls us home, we stand here in the power of Christ!
